Kawaakari - (n.) the gleam of last light on a river's surface at dusk; the glow of a river in the darkness. This is a shot of evening sun reflecting off the waves on Kaslo River. We are so blessed here to have clean water running down the mountains. Lets keep it that way!
About Cathie Douglas
Cathie was born and raised in the Kootenay Region of beautiful British Columbia. She bought her first camera at the age of 12 and started shooting and exploring. Nature is her play ground, healer, teacher and inspiration. Many of her photos are taken on her frequent kayak paddles on Kootenay Lake and adventures into the surrounding mountains. She loves to capture and share the beautiful patterns of nature and the life giving principles inherent within them. When Cathie is not taking still photos, she spends her time creating documentary films and educational videos on social justice and natural laws and principles with her partner Larry Moore through their multi media company Heartspeak Productions. ...
